Founded in 2013, a group of five passionate law students at the University of Auckland saw an opportunity for students to become more involved in one of the most important skills they could learn as lawyers: advocacy.

Now, in 2023, the University of Auckland Mooting Society has become one of the largest clubs at Auckland Law School, running five prestigious moots aimed at facilitating and developing mooting and advocacy. The benefits of the society are immense, including opportunities to travel to international competitions, attending seminars and networking events, and learning areas of law that may not be taught in class.
